My search for the truth is true!

They drank of me.

And so what.

I am here.

My stream still runs pure.

Smiling.

Father you shall not forsake me.

I command you!

I will dance with abandon.

I will laugh.

I will continue to love.

I choose to rejoice.

My cross will flower forward.

Birthed from my womb.

Let them drink!

I will not dry up.

My passion flows incessantly, boldly.

Yes sometimes I cry.

Sometimes I yearn

Long

Plead.

But mostly i choose

To smile.

I choose to laugh at naughty children scribbling on the wall.

I choose books—writing, reading—ink on my fingers, stories in my mouth.

I choose walks in the park, green light on my face, wind combing my hair.

I choose piano—notes like clean water in the room.

I choose dance—bare feet, brave joy.

I choose good food—warmth passed hand to hand.

You have enthroned me high

With a coronet of grace and dignity

Forged in the crucible of pain and suffering.

I have transgressed.

But my stream runs pure to the sea
